Thinking of buying Limited - is this a good deal?

Limited w Advanced Safety Tech, UConnect and Tire & Wheel -- MSRP 49,450, w dealer offering @ 44,350 .

This equates to 11.3% off MSRP

With all the year end rebates going around, I have read elsewhere on this forum that discounts as large as 15% are not uncommon

Given this specific model , what would you guys recommend countering with ? 15% off MSRP would equate to 42,000 approx . Is that a reasonable target to aim for ?

Thank you !

Is that offer before or after incentives? Incentives can be quite high. Every one can get $1500. LA/SF appears to have an extra $500. Then if you finance it's another $500. You can get $1000 TDM (e.g. Sam's Club) with a little work. And I was offered $2000 total in conquest incentives when I tried negotiating a deal back in early November.

Looking at TrueCar, I didn't get your exact MSRP but it was close at $49275. The invoice is $46791. You should be able to get at least $500 off invoice as that's about what TrueCar, Costco Buying, etc get you. Then add incentives on top of that.

I've seen dealers in Socal advertise about 10% off MSRP before incentives or more on cars they have in stock. E.g. Rydell has $4000 off all pacifica's and if you search their inventory of Limiteds it's actually $4500 on all limiteds.

I'm hoping to get a similar deal from the dealer that actually has the car I want.

This is the price advertised on the website . So going by your logic I should be able to get it for around 41,500 to 42,000 -- does that sound right ? Thx

I'm guess you can get the selling price to be about $45K. Then subtract off your incentives. E.g. $2K customer cash, $1K conquest, and $1K sams club. That would put you right about $41K.

Just signed the deal last night for a Limited fully loaded, MSRP was just under $51,000. I was OTD at $45917. So you can get them down there, then drop the Sams club coupon on them. Good luck!!

How much did you get off MSRP before rebates?
I've been trying to get $4500. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, one of the dealers in the area actually advertises that for Limiteds on their website. Unfortunately, they don't have the car I want though.

South County Chrysler in Gilroy, California (Bay Area) is blowing out Limiteds at $7000 below MSRP before incentives ($10k+ after incentives), and some of the lower trim levels at $5000 below MSRP. Crazy deals over there... just FYI.
