This is an example of why, after 10 years of owning a Toyota Sienna, we chose the Pacifica this time around. Yes, there's a reliability risk with a first-model-year vehicle, and FCA isn't known for its outstanding reliability. But our Toyota wasn't perfect and wouldn't have impressed many owners for its outstanding reliability. And, you can get a lemon no matter the vehicle brand or manufacturer. Two of my family members have had Toyotas over this same period, both with much bigger problems than we had.
So far, we've had *zero* issues with our Pacifica. I think the gap between Japanese and U.S. manufacturer's initial quality is growing smaller.
