Lack of interior color options on Hybrid Platinum

I was completely shocked when I went to my dealer to order a Hybid Platinum and had only ONE interior color option-Alloy. 50,000 for a vehicle and you can't pick an interior color. Really sad. I even called Chrysler to confirm. What are they thinking? Unbelievable. I'm not ordering. I've been waiting all year for this car and they pull this. Am I crazy???.

You're not crazy. Chrysler made the decision to keep the hybrid launch "simple" by offering very few configurable options. We can hope that more options become available later in 2017 or at least for the 2018 model year, but for now, it is what it is. I agree that it's very disappointing. A lot of people like the alloy seats, and I'm all for having them as an option. But forcing such a light color on people that will likely fill the van with messy kids doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Ordered 9/19/16 -- Built 10/7/16 -- Delivered 10/27/16:
2017 Pacifica Limited - Molten Silver/Mocha
8 Pax - Vac - SafetyTec - UConnect Theater & Sound
20" Wheels - Tow - KeySense - Splash Guards

Lack of interior options on Hybrid

I went to my dealer yesterday to order the hybrid Platinum and discovered that only ONE interior color was available-Alloy. 50,000 for a vehicle and no choice of interior color. Really sad. Unbelievable. I have waited all year for this car and they pull this. I even called Chrysler to confirm. I was told the Premium would have a black leather option in march but not the Platinum. What??? I didn't order. Am I crazy???

It's probably like the limited, didn't have the black seats until last month or so. So I am sure they will release options little by little.
The vacuum , the hands free doors, those were all introduced in later runs

I'm with the OP on this. Although, just like many new models, the launch versions are sometimes limited on colors and options. Wait 3 or 4 months and things should start to come into light with different offerings. I for one, would simply like the HK sound & 20" Hybrid wheel option as shown in the press photos from early 2016. We are already waiting on the Silver Teal color to be released, so might just wait a few extra months to see if other options become available and also UC4 is placed into the Pacifica. Good things come to those whom are patient We waited 1.5 yrs for a custom order Porsche Exclusive car, got exactly what we wanted and the wait was certainly worth it!

I wonder if it's cost effective to lease (I wonder if I could lease?) the Pacifica Hybrid for the first year and swap it out when 2018 models are released. I can't help but feel, they'll add the HID/LED lights and other features to the model.

I wouldn't think it would be cost effective to lease for a year. But you could certainly have a dealer run the numbers.
