Hi. I have a touring L plus. Overall I'm extremely satisfied. Only issue i have is my driver window when it's down and I push the button to go up, it starts going up, but when it's a quarter on the way up it goes back down. It does it repeatedly, only after a few tries then it goes up. Anyone have this issue?
I had it. But after a couple of tries it always went up. So I took some silicone spray and lubed up the felt tracks and middle wipers. That did the trick and didn't even smear the window. Been fine since. YMMV.
Hi chaim11218,
Have you been to a dealer in regards to this concern? Please feel free to reach out if you need assistance in scheduling an appointment for diagnosis. I am happy to help.
I have a 2015 Charger SRT and have had this happen a few times when I first got it, hasn't done it in a while. Thing there is something up with the switch hardware they use that is universal across their lines.
My silicone spray "fix" (see above) only worked for a few months. Recently I took the van in for an oil change / tire rotation and complained about the window reversing. I told them I thought there was a TSB for it.
They didn't find a TSB but were able to "calibrate" the window.
try rolling the window down and hold down the switch for a couple seconds then roll it up and hold it for a couple seconds when it stops. Some times the auto up and down needs to be calibrated, this works on some of the older stuff
Damon, did you try this as suggested above? Might be a calibration deal. Similar to what happens when you pull the battery, sometimes you lose the auto up feature until you recalibrate by raising the window to full up and holding for a second or two.
I got my Pacifica back 2 nights ago from the dealer. They could not replicate the issue. Remember it is just something that happens every once in a while. Maybe 1 X in a 3 week time frame. So, I did go ahead and do that little trick last night to "calibrate it" and we shall see if it happens again.
Had mine in for a warranty repair. They did a couple of reflashes while it was there, now my auto up does not work at all. Guess I'll be calling the dealer again. SMH
As was mentioned in an earlier post I tried holding the switch up after the window closed, held it up until I heard a click (about 2-3 seconds) and whala they work as they should now. Glad I don't have to go back to the dealer. :grin2:
