Stalling:Another update by Motor Trend

https://www.motortrend.com/cars/chry...date-3-review/
The latest long term test update on their gas Pacifica. They still seem to be having stall issues, as do I.
Mine is going in Thursday for the latest update, which was announced May 1.
Odd thing is, my dealer was unaware of the May 1 Revision B until I mentioned it chapter and verse.
They looked it up, and sho 'nuff, there it was.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the info. Is it an update for the gas Pacifica only, or all Pacificas?

The stalling issue referred to here is only for the gas model.
Doesn't seem to be ESS related.

Ok thanks.
Actually, my week old 2018 PacHy stalled while I was parked for about an hour.
It did start right up afterwards.
I'm wondering if there is an auto-shutoff after a certain amount of time in park.

Also wondering if it had nothing to do with being in park, and it would have stalled even if I was doing 70 on the interstate. *shudders*

The author said his issue only occurs after coming to a full stop (I was one of the annoying folks that emailed him.) I'd be surprised if his particular issue wasn't ESS related.

Be surprised. I don't have time to go into it, but it is not ESS related. Partial answer is that it happens while coming to a stop. Not after.

You may be right, but perhaps a failure in the ESS controller could cause it to trigger the stop before coming to a complete stop? I dunno, just a guess.

Decent guess.

The MotorTrend author said his van would stall only after coming to a full stop, which to me means it's possibly ESS related.
