My 2017 Pacifica Ltd Top Ends @ 111 Mph.

Not that I really have such a need for speed but you never know, I might get mad and want to blow away the competition sometime. Maybe I should've went for the Charger instead but the 3rd row wasn't optional. I'm wondering if my 3.6L V6 is governed at a set rpm or top speed? What about your Top Speed, how fast is your Pacifica?

Most automobiles are speed controled. I once had a Chrysler 300M special and it was NOT. A van like the Pacifica would be top speed controled for sure.

Your tires are only speed rated for 115 mph, thats why the vehicle is governed. I can do 150+ in my charger all day because it came from the factory with z-rated tires. You'll find that the cars top speed will almost always be limited to the type of tire it has.

And also related to the type of car. Sport type cars like the Charger, 300M special etc have the higher rated tires, vans don't.
You can usually by a gadget to reprogram the onboard computer to change the top speed.

Not sure I'd want to be driving 111 mph in my Pacifica. It feels pretty good at 85 mph, but not sure it would feel as secure at 111. Not really sure I'd ever have that opportunity either living in overcrowded NJ.

Current vehicles:
2017 Chrysler Pacifica Limited - Granite/Mocha 20" wheels, UConnect Theater & Sound w/ 20 speaker Harmon Kardon, Safety Tec, Vac, Keysense
2010 Ford Mustang GT
2005 Subaru Legacy GT

Getting to 100 is easy in west Texas where the speed limit is 85mph and the highways are straight and not very crowded!
