Does your state require insurance companies to cover glass without a deductible? I know a lot of states do, but mine does not, so I decided to get the Mopar Auto Appearance Care Plus coverage. It covers unlimited windshield repairs, paintless dent and door ding repairs, interior seat, carpet, and trim repairs. Didn't seem like a bad deal for $500 for 5 years of coverage.

I put one on our van and I think it looks great. Not sure how well it works since the back edge doesn't roll up but that's the way the one is on my Dodge Ram too. The instructions suck though. That's for sure!

I wasn't sure that I liked the look at first with the abrupt cutoff at the edges of the hood, but it's grown on me. Now all the pictures of Pacificas without it look weird to me!

I am not all about the looks, yes it looks good, but I want it to be useful. Somewhat protect my windshield as I get rock chips / bug splats all of the time. I am still waiting to see if AVS is going to come out with their bugshield as I am hoping it actually has a deflection on it.

It's possible that it's raised from the hood enough to cause some deflection in the air flow. But I can't really figure out a way to test that.

Resurrecting an old thread.

Anyone pick up a bug deflector from AVS for their Pacifica?

How does it compare to the one from Mopar?

I bought the Mopar one and do not like the bolts sticking up so I just bought the AVS one that you linked to. The difference is not bolts through the top and it attaches just like the one I have on my other car. I will let you know how it comes out.

Do you have several pics you could post? Of the front, sides, and also how it is mounted under the hood?

Here is what is confusing.....LUND who makes the Auto Ventshade window flectors and bug shields has 3 seperate ( hood / bug shields).

AVS BUGFLECTOR II Smoke Part #25762

AVS HOOD FLECTOR Smoke Part #21762

AVS BUGFLECTOR Smoke Part #23762

which is what?
8:30AM to 6PM EST, Monday-Friday 1-800-241-7219

My deal is that I do not like the mopar one that has clips on top, I like the shields that wrap under the hood and mount rather than those that are double sided and stuck to top of hood.

Anyone know if a hood deflector is prohibited on Pacifica’s with advanced safety tech?
