8th seat cup holder

Greetings all.

I am having an odd issue with our eighth seat. The cup holder pops out when it is stowed up. Right now we have a child seat installed in this seat, and I originally throught the pressure of the child seat against the back was popping the holder out of position. Having looked at it more, I don't think that's the case.

The cup holder is secured by a series of tabs, two on the top where the cup holders are that grip a steel frame, two in the middle that fit into tabs in the steel cross beam, and then one at the end where the square section is that is supposed to grip the steel frame at the bottom of the seat indent. This last clip is clearly not staying attached to the frame. I could stick something behind the tab to better keep it pushed out and hopefully engaged with the steel frame, but I am hesitant to put more pressure on what is essentially a piece of plastic.

Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

Hi Paradoxex,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to offer assistance if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.
