Would spare tire fit in Stow-N-Go well?

Hi All. I'm planning to get a Limited with the Vacuum, which means it won't come with a spare tire. I see the inflatable spare tire kit is available to purchase separately, but it obviously can't be mounted in its intended spot because the vacuum is there. Does anyone know if it would fit in one of the 2nd row Stow-N-Go floor wells when the seats are up? I may not keep it there all the time but would be nice to put there on trips for peace of mind if it fits.

The part is listed here, but does not give dimensions. Looks fairly compact.

Yeah, it certainly looks like it would fit, but it's tough to tell without a frame of reference. Looking at the rear panel where the vacuum is, that spot doesn't look any bigger than the Stow-N-Go well to me though. Anyone have spare tire and want to give it a fit test?

Go to a dealer and find a model with the compact spare. Remove it and plop it in the stow-n-go well. And be sure to have someone film the looks on the dealer staff faces :-)

Please be sure to return compact spare to initial location.

Not sure if they'll let me do that, but it's certainly an idea.

Thanks. I had seen that picture, but it's still hard to tell if it would fit.

One thought, call the parts dep't at a dealer and if they have one in stock, ask them to measure it. At this point though, I'm betting they don't have any just based on twice waiting for some common part replacement.

I tried this very thing. It lays down in the well, but the floor board won't fold flat on top of it. It looks like the rim is about a half inch too deep. I'm pretty sure I flipped it and tried it laying both ways. Also, I only tried it on the driver's side.

We're still going to order one and put it in the well during trips, but the floor won't be flat over it.

Me too! Thanks for checking this out. I love the vacuum but worry about long trips to remote areas w/o a spare. Sounds like an okay compromise to me.
