EVSE fault?

Hi everyone! Just purchased a 2019 Pacifica Hyrbrid less than a week ago. I will be having an electrician come over to add a 220v in my garage hopefully soon but for now I’m using the supplied level 1 charger each night until then. When I plug the charger in each night, I get the standard green light and see the car charging. The last 2 nights when I get ready to leave in the morning the level 1 charger is flashing red really quickly. I took a video of it ( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lnklx7geYxk ) is this some type of fault code? I have been searching trying to find anything on it and have had no luck. When I unplug the charger from the wall and plug it back in it goes back to green. While it’s flashing red like that it still seems to be charging the vehicle as I see the dashboard lights blinking still like it’s charging. Just want to make sure I’m not missing anything. Thanks for your help.

Have you tried searching this issue on the forum?

There is a thread already with documents how to read EVSE fault indicator and advice.

Did you try the owner's manual? The fault codes are all explained starting on page 26. You can download the manual here: https://www.mopar.com/chrysler/en-us...rs-manual.html

My wife found it odd that I read all 800+ pages of the owners manual. You'd be surprised how much there is to learn from it and I just have a gaser. I still pull it up from time to time to refresh my memory. I do the same for my wifes jeep patriot, I'm a stickler for sticking to the maintenance schedule. You can make anything last allot longer with regular maintenance. I even have a manual for the baby "Wonder Weeks" and boy it has been so accurate and helpful

GFCI Tester

Have you tested the receptacle? You can pick up a cheap Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) tester at Walmart or Harbor Freight for around $5 (GFCI Tester). I had a similar issue years ago with my Volt's level 1 charger when I lived in a duplex that had a somewhat ratty attached garage with suspect wiring. Fortunately, it had a utility room with a 240v outlet for a dryer and I was able to use it with a level 2 charger.

If you're having an electrician come out to install a level 2 in the near future, he'll almost assurdly test the wiring, anyway, so you might just wait for that.
