Quiet Vehicle Protection Module (QVPM) on current vehicles?

I just ordered a Pacifica Hybrid (with the 35th anniversary package) and was looking at the “Quick Reference Guide” and in a section labeled “Pedestrian Alert” it mentioned the “Quiet Vehicle Protection Module.” I know all quiet vehicles must have one by September 2019 but are current models already equipped with a QVPM or is this something recent?

Yes. There are threads from people trying to turn it off since they found it annoying.

My 2018 PacHy has it. Not terribly annoying but I’m not a big fan of it.

If you disable it and hit a pedestrian a lawyer will take you for everything you've go!
