2017 Pacifica, sporadically runs very rough, seems like it's going to stall out.
I have had 4 instances where the car is running normally, then starts to run very roughly seeming like it's going to die. This has happened at both high speed and low speed. Every time it happens the engine light comes on, then turns off, and cycles on and off, as long as the stalling continues. It's gone on for as long as 15 minutes. Then the car starts running normally, and the engine light goes away.
The car will go for several months running normally, then it happens again. I took it to the dealer and they told me it had something to do with the transmission programming (although I don't think they actually found anything wrong with diagnostics). They reprogrammed about a month ago and everything was normal, then it happened again the other night. It lasted about 20 minutes then stopped and and has driven normally since.
Does anyone have any idea of what the problem might be, or had similar experience? It almost seems like the engine is not getting enough fuel, but to date the car has not died completely. I'm just afraid of that happening. (Mileage 17,000)
