Cold weather failure

I dont know if I should be concerned over a glitch that happened on an extremely cold morning or not because it was a one time thing. Van started ok but halfway up the block various warning lights lit up on the dash followed by a complete loss of engine power. Gas pedal had no effect. A restart returned things to normal but it happened three more times on the way to work. The last included all lights blinking on the shifter knob with neutral gear in all positions. One more restart and all was normal (fully warmed up?) and it has been ok since with another 600 uneventful miles. Right now there are no codes present on the computer. Anybody have a similar occurrence during very cold weather? This is a 2018 Touring L gas version with 12k miles on it.

Thanks for the reply. I did that with a battery tester and both batteries voltage and CCA test normal. Connections are tight. Reading 14.4 volts when running so alternator is working. It was seriously cold that night, minus 5 degrees with the wind howling. The issue cleared once it got good and warmed up and hasn't happened since. However, on chilly mornings I'm letting it run a little longer from now on before heading out.

Another option would be to private message @ChryslerCares with your concern and ask if there is a TSB (technical service bulletin) or software update available for your van (include the VIN) related to this problem. You could also check the Mopar and UConnect websites to see if there are any recalls or updates available for your VIN.

We haven't seen anything like that, and we've had temperatures well below that last week.

It could be a one-time thing (bit of moisture in the wrong place freezes) never to happen again.

If it does happen again, hopefully an ace mechanic can find the problem and fix it.
