2018 Growling noise on Driver side under engine load
After my wife got the oil changed on our 2018 Pacifica Limited, I had came Home from an out of state work trip and drove the vehicle with the family and immediately notice low power under acceleration with a noticeable growl and vibration you can feel all the way through the gas pedal. I called our local dealership hear where we purchased our van new and setup and appointment for my wife to take it in. They did the recall for the ground wire and reset the entertainment system again as it keeps getting a black screen any time we touch the Uconnect button, but of course they could not hear or feel any noise or growl. So today June 05/19 I took it in myself and asked my service advisor to drive it. He did and drove it like a grandma and couldn’t hear it. I explained to him the engine needs to be under load and typically this load is take off or up a hill. It really shows up when you make a left turn and even stalls a hair. The van occasionally jerks real hard when cruising through a parking lot. On with the ride with the advisor we also drove a used 2018 Pacifica that was turned into a conversion van and had no vibration and drove smoother than our van. Inside the van quality is top notch. Mechanically it drives like a dodge. We have 31,000 miles on it and the tires are feathered and noisy. We rotate them every 7500 miles. We also have the 20” rims on this one. Please advise if this transmission issues or engine issues as it is very much affecting both.
