Unhappy Satellite issues?

Recently our 2018 Pacifica has developed a new issue. While traveling - especially in another time zone although it has happened in another state in our home time zone - the car's clock will go back to Eastern (our home) time and if we try to use Android Auto for Google maps it starts the directions from our home instead of our current location. If we unplug the phone from Android Auto, Google maps shows the correct/current location. Example - our home is in VA - we were traveling in AL and while trying to get directions from point A in AL to point B in AL it starts from our house in VA and tries to take us to point B in AL. It shows a 10 hour + trip instead of a 15 minute trip. When we unplug the phone from the car, the map is correct. The same thing has happened with an iPhone as well, so it isn't an Android Auto issue.

After driving about 15 - 30 minutes the satellite (or whatever is the issue) will find our location and set the clock to the current time and then when we plug the phone in the map is back on track. Very frustrating when trying to be safety conscious and use the screen instead of looking down at your phone.

Any suggestions on how to get this resolved? Our dealer said they couldn't find any computer error codes and if they can't replicate it they can't fix it.

This could be a major problem as we have a cross country driving trip planned this summer.

Update your phone's software and make sure you reboot it as well.

The phone does just fine when it is not plugged in to the car/Android Auto. The phone would not make the car's clock be set to the wrong time. There is some kind of problem with the car
