Service shifter after recall performed

My 2017 Pacifica was serviced for 2 recalls last Thursday. This Monday the van wouldn’t start and a message of “service shifter” was on the dash. I called the local dealer and they didn’t really want to help me. I did get it towed there bc we don’t have any other options but they haven’t even looked at it yet and we leave for vacation next week. They didn’t seem to care about that or the fact that this is the only vehicle that can carry our whole family. I can’t go anywhere while I wait for them to figure this out and at least look at it. Has anyone else has this service shifter message and was it easily resolved? I really need my vehicle back and in working order quickly.

Make sure they check the battery or batteries. A low battery might give unusual messages such as this.

Which recall did you have done?

I had the U50 and U64 recalls done. One deals with the parking break and the other with the engine software.

I have had the exact same issue. My car was serviced for recalls T23, U50, U64 on 08/01/2019. Today my car won't start with the service shifter on the dash. I hope this is something Chrysler can resolve as part of the reprogramming of U64 issue.
