Sliding Door Error

3 times now I have gotten a "door motor inoperative, operate door manually" error.
Each time it has cleared up within a couple of days. I had an appointment with a local dealer to troubleshoot it the last time that it happened but it cleared up before the appointment. Does anyone here have any experience with this issue?
Thanks
Danny

I haven't seen any reports of this issue. Try to snap a picture of the error the next time it pops up. Since you'll have to take it into the dealer to have them check out your LCD screen issue, might as well have them check this issue out as well...even if it's not doing it anymore.

Our right side sliding door seems to "randomly" open. Never when driving, or in gear. Always when parked. Accompanying this strange behavior is the internal button for the right side sliding door (on the b pillar) often doesn't work... it takes 4 or 5 presses for the door to open or close. Touching the button on the exterior door handle, or using either the internal or external handle all work as expected on the right side sliding door.

There has never been a message on the console about an error.

If I were to guess, there is a problem with the button, or what the button is talking to, and the message "eventually" gets to the door... which makes it seem like door opened on its own, but in reality x minutes earlier one if the kids / kids' friends / wife hit the button.

If the car is not locked, and sitting in the driveway, we've looked out the window to find the door open. Even when sitting in the car after we've loaded (maybe setting the GPS or iPads setup), and the car is still in Park (therefore doors are not auto-locked) its has opened.

We've yet to take our Pacifica in for service, and we're at 6500km... this is #1 on the list, but since we work around it by keeping the doors locked, its not a HUGE issue... yet.

It's happened to our van once. Took about an hour before it sorted itself out. Keep us posted to how the issue gets resolved.

Hi Danny,

If you decide to make another appointment at your dealership I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know!
