They are gathering a list of customers who bought Pacificas from them or call them and will be calling people to schedule input of the vehicles when the parts are available. I imagine the dealers kind of "hate" it when the public gets those letters before the dealers have the parts/tools to perform the inspections and/or repairs.
Hello BsNu2108Pacifica,

We're sorry you've been affected by this recall. If you have any questions about the campaign or would like an additional layer of assistance working with the dealer, don't hesitate to send us a direct message. We'd be glad to help.

Thank you. I'll see if the dealer system is responsive for a reasonable time but will take you up on the offer to assist if they seem to be slow-leaking me.

Got the call from my dealer and have the ball-joint recall scheduled for tomorrow. Supposed to take about 2 hours. So far they have done what they promised and during the latest conversation with them, I was asked if there was anything else I wanted to take a look at so things are looking promising.

No I did NOT ask them to re-look at my Start-Stop system which has reverted to pretty much non-functional again. Wife and I have decided that since it isn't needed for continued safe operation of the vehicle, we aren't going down that rabit-hole again. We'll drive this one into the ground (another 10-15 years) and when the car wears out we'll think about what kind of transportation to get. In the mean-time, not going to worry ourselves about something that is more irritating than needed.

Took the van in for my appointment to have the ball joint recall performed V15/NHTSA 19V-143.

The w/o says "V15 Recall SOP" then goes on to discuss a different recall. It says they "Performed recall V53 Power Steering assist. Removed Lower engine cover, cleaned and adjusted ground cable. 0.5 hours"

When I query the recall data base, the power steering recall (V53) shows it was performed on 9 May 2019. No was not - the van was in my garage at home that day, not in their shop, 15 miles away - and the web site can't pull up the file that explains what recall V53 is. I learned what it was by reading other threads in this forum. And when I looked for status of recall V15, it shows the recall is still pending due to lack of parts. Hmmmm, wonder why they called me to set up an appointment to do the work if they now don't have the parts to do it.

Not real confident in the records. I'll give the database a day (guess the weekend since this is Friday) before I try to take on the dealer to find out what they really did or did not do.

I've sent a PM to https://www.pacificaforums.com/forum...slercares.html

@ChryslerCares called and talked with my dealer to clarify my vehicle's situation. Recall V53 (PowerSteerAssist Ground) was performed per the w/o paperwork; I concur that is probably correct but it's good to read CC got the same result. Recall V15 still has parts problems and the dealers are assembling lists of people that need to have the work done when the parts become available; that is where I was about a week ago and I have been added back to the list for a future call-back when the work can be performed. Strange but I'll live with it. So CC was able to get a straight story confirmed for me - Thanks Jasmine at ChryslerCares. I'll give them a full Atta-person when it's all done up. Good luck to the rest of you and trust in CC helping you at least get the straight scoop from your dealer.

I was called again by my dealer ("MJ" was the caller) to bring in the vehicle to have the ball joint recall performed MJ said they have the parts now. Hmmmm, I wondered if they really do but I decided to go along with it. Can't get the van into the shop until next week though as we have things to do that require us to keep it. So, on Monday the 10th, I'll bring the Pacifica back into the shop to see if they do indeed have the parts and complete the ball joint recall (V53). I told him I also would have them do the oil change service since it's been about 6 months since the last one. Probably should also have them take another look at the ESS stop/start system and the two batteries but I'm hesitant to open that can of worms again. Having analysis and repair of the system worked hard before and getting recall V15 done last month didn't do anything for the operation of our vehicle - stop/start hasn't been reliably for more than maybe a day or two since the first month we owned it in January 2018. But it will at least document the fact that the stop/start doesn't work (still/again/ever). I'll update this thread after I get V53 done.

Well that was interesting going to the mopar recall site. It showed the ground problem as not completed yet. Just too soon to get it in the system. Just done on Monday. The control arm is not a problem on mine. Build Friday the 13th, 2018. Another one was competed while the van was on the dealer's lot near Detroit. About a month after they got it. The PCM software was "sick." Gee, I had my van recalled before I bought it.

2018 Limited gas is already loaded. Ocean blue w/Black-Diesel Interior. Build date Friday the 13th, 4/18. Lifetime Warranty. Lots of extras.

2019 Ford F-150 XLT added to the garage on 3/5/2019. Many mods done since.

It's Monday after a long trip and I now have V15 (Ball Joint) completed on my Pacifica - YAY! I was very impressed with the service department today. I had a 9:30 appointment for the recall work and the normal oil/lube/inspection work, got there 20 minutes early and was input right away. I was sitting in the lounge having my coffee when the first work status report was given at 9:45. So far the mechanic was ready to get going, had all the parts, and had given the car a complete inspection with a clean bill of health. By 10:30 I was driving out of the dealership with a completed V15 and oil/lub work completed. My service rep was beyond thorough as he explained what they did, what they found or didn't find (basically everything was back to nearly new with no problems to face). It took some angst on my part to get V15 done along with V53 earlier but I am very happy with the current status. Thanks @ChryslerCares for helping me through the drama.

And, Oh BTW, after a long trip over the w/e (4 hour drive each way) my ESS Stop/Start system started working properly three days ago. Guess the batteries are fully charged now. I'm a happy driver now.

If it takes all that driving to get the battery charged, you probably still have a problem.
