I was just told by a dealer that my 2014 Ford CMax Energi didn't qualify for the discount because is "had a gasoline engine", in addition to the electric motor and giant battery.
I don't know if the dealer is trying to screw me over, or if FCA has a different definition of "hybrid" than the government (which gave me the plugin hybrid tax credit when I purchased it).
Your C-Max Energi is definitely a plug-in hybrid. Either the dealer is dumb or they don't want to give you the rebate. Is there another dealer in your area? If so, take your car to that dealer and see what they say.
