We have a 2017 Pacifica touring-L with leather with eight seats (apparently the "L" does not always mean this model had leather) and we kept our 2011 Honda pilot Ex-L.
We have five kids, ages 8, 6, 3, and 8 month-old twin babies. We have two rear facing seats in the middle row on the middle seat and driver's side seat, so the eighth seat was a must. Our eight year old sits in the middle row passenger side and helps with the babies and she is able to slide her seat forward so the two younger kids can get out from the third row. With the baby seat in the middle seat, the her seat barely has enough room to slide forward, but it rubs on the baby seat.
Going from they pilot to the Pacifica has been a great choice for us. The things that make our younger three almost self sufficient includes they lower door entry height, automatic sliding doors and an easier method of moving the middle side seats forward. We do have to reach back and help our three year old unbuckle from her give point harness, which is a bit of a reach but works. Another pleasant difference between there pilot and the Pacifica is the amount it room on the back behind the third row. Be sure to ask for a rebate for being a Honda owner.

|DannyMcD||Our almost 3yr old is in a huge car seat, he can reach and kick the tv's on the back of the chairs. we ordered a booster sized car seat that will lower him down where there is more room for his feet. I wish the middle seats had a fwd/aft slide.|

I switched our RF seat to FF but I might be able to find a pic. It fit easily. Diono radian with the angle adjuster and even my husband has a few inches behind him. I've never found a more compact RF seat with such a high weight and height limit. Technically my 7yo can still fit in it RF (only 42 lbs). Britax fits but it touches if my husband is driving so he has to move up a bit. He was completely unable to drive my SUV so this is better. I love that seat for so many reasons- airplane travel probably the most but it fits in almost every car.
Do you find that "tilt forward" access to the 3rd row as handy as it seems?
No I find it to be terrible actually. Very glad we got the 7 passenger with the aisle. You have to climb over the bottom of the seat and disconnect the seatbelt from the armrest.
Do you regularly use the Stow and Go bins for storage?
Yes! The one behind the driver is always full bc we never stow that one. For trips we move both kids to the second row and use the storage for extra trip stuff. This is actually why we bought a Chrysler. We used to rent them for road trips and loved the stow and go. I keep jumper cables, towels, first aid kit... seldom used but necessary stuff in there.
Do you actually stow the 2nd row seats from time to time or is this just a man-utility-fantasy?
Current setup is FF in third row behind passenger. FF behind driver was RF until this week. Passenger captain folded into the floor. We move the third row person depending on what cargo space we need and if he wants to watch the TV or not. I've also folded everything down for Ikea trips. I hate having a minivan but those days make it pretty glorious. In answer to your screen issue, they mostly just play on their ipads. On trips we get the wifi turned on, and one kid was RF so the screen was useless anyway, and my oldest would rather watch his ipad anyway. They gave me a T&C loaner and the drop down screens bugged me- I couldnt see anything out the back window. I completely understand why they got rid of them but they should have something for the third row.
When we got this, we had tons of issues getting FF seats installed properly. The headrests are in the way. Britax said we could recline the seat until the top slid under the headrest but Chicco said their seat was flat out incompatible.
I bungee the stroller behind the drivers bucket, so sometimes it's easier to access the stroller from that side. I hit the stow and go button to slide the drivers seat all the way forward, and I can tilt the seat with a RF seat in it far enough forward to get the car seat out. I fuse that button a lot actually. The rear stow buttons I could do without but whatever.

I had the same problem. But opposite of yours. I connected my kid's front facing seat at the dealer when we traded our Odyssey, it was just a hook type connection to the LATCH. The problem I had was trying to take it our to reposition. I couldn't get the hooks off because there was no room behind the LATCH! Its as if, Chrysler forgot to cut the fabric behind the LATCH. With great difficulty, I finally got the hooks out. In the future I might take an exacto knife and cut the fabric. You guys might be experiencing the same as it doesn't leave enough room to push behind the LATCH hooks.
On my other cars, the LATCH hooks are in between the seat cushions so there is never fabric behind the LATCH hooks to get in the way.

This one was real hard to latch, I test drove one at the dealership and the one I bought. When ever I have to pull the seat for something I dread it. Plus the tether strap is real hard to get between the seat and head rest, not only because it can't be raised but because the plastic trim around the posts are just too close together. My son's booster seat also has latch straps that are much more narrower. No issues latching that seat.
I'm hoping that over time the seat will wear in and make it easier.
