Jerith, thanks for the tip re: freezing slush. I build things for proper clearance, but ice buildup hasn't been an issue on my other high clearance autos. We are dealing with a relatively narrow gap on the Pachy. DoninDel, great tip on the Michelin Easy Grips Evolution. The Evo 15 part # 008315...

Well said, I couldn't agree more. I don't find Mike's deviation to be reasonable or done with the intent to help anyone. Maybe some of you do, we all have a right to our opinions. And we all have a right to disagree. There are absolutes and presumptions in Mike's comments that amount to...

If it's anything like other lithium battery tech you will not have a truly accurate SOC % reading. My bro asked me the other day how to monitor SOC for a lithium battery he installed in his RV. Down the rabbit hole I went and found out that it can't be measured perfectly. The technology can get...

Agreed re: bike racks, but the receiver is only one part of a dealer installed "tow package".
  6. Snow Chains

2017+ Chrysler Pacifica Minivan General Discussion
My dealer had me sign off on a disclosure indicating I understand I cannot use snow chains with my 2018 Pachy. They couldn't define "snow chains". There are a few different traction devices out there. Our collective guess is that means a traction device with chain links. We guessed it is due to...

Yes, the consumer car I heard about is the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. At least that was my impression when I bought mine and the dealer handed me a disclosure to sign indicating I understood my Pachy cannot accomodate snow chains. This is off topic for this thread but is very important to...

Unbelievable. Run (don't walk) away. I see your options as either A. buy the vehicle with no tow package installed or B. Have the dealer agree to rescind your purchase contract and you don't buy the vehicle. Under option B they should hand you the original inked purchase contract. Otherwise they...

I hear something while level 1 charging with the vehicle off. It's cyclical but much quieter than the video in this thread. 151 miles on the odometer. Perhaps a recall is in order.

So fun, I dig it! Nice use of limited space, I'm all about a comfy bed in a camper build.

Agreed, it looks like various reputable auto media outlets and not-so reputable Chrysler dealerships have gotten it wrong labeling it a continously variable transmission or CVT. This eFlite Si-EVT in the Pachy is interesting. I haven't had time to buy the service manuals and dig in yet. Any...

ahh that changes everything! I'd tow that but I would not have the dealer install the equipment. Actually I would never expect a dealer to agree to install. Have you explored uhaul getting you hooked up?

2017+ Chrysler Pacifica PHEV Hybrid General Discus
Depending on where you are located there are still new 2018's available on dealer lots ... Unicorns. If you can benefit from the tax credits that's the route I would take. Around here the used one's cost the same as the new ones, sans the tax credit.

Lady you could also actually read the purchase contract/financing agreement and see if there's an escape hatch.

Good point but she added a few more Q's. I'm not an attorney but I wouldn't want to risk ruining my credit walking away if I'd already signed a purchase contract. I would try and get the dealer to rip up the contract, otherwise I would drive off with the vehicle and enjoy it.

I am sorry but not at all surprised you were mislead by the dealership. Your 3 requirements doesn't exist as far as I know except for possibly a Toyota Highlander Hybrid or maybe something from Tesla is rated to tow. I'll be putting a tow package on my Pachy once out of warranty, but I know what...

My experience is Nevada and Arizona have better dealer discounts, but if your bringing the vehicle back to CA you will lose out on the $1500k tax credit (unless you cheat on your taxes, bad idea). Best dealer discount I could find in CA was $5500 but they would have bit me on the back end with...
