We are furious. We had to take our 11 month old Pacifica Hybrid to the shop January 3rd. Got it back yesterday, February 27th, Chrysler had no loaners to give us and wouldn’t cover more than $40 a day (which for a family with a MINIVAN doesn’t cover anything but a compact car and that’s still $46 a day).
It had an awful grinding noise, kept throwing up every error possible and would shut off while driving. They replaced the PIM assembly and all the known warranty issues and gave it back yesterday.
Today as we were driving down a major highway, it flashes the check engine light and then immediately shut off. In the middle of driving. Again. We are unfortunately out of lemon law parameters, but if after they fix it THIS TIME and it happens one more time, we may need to hire an attorney to work out the Manuson-Moss Warranty Act. Having a vehicle shut off and come to a stop in rush hour traffic is terrifying - especially with your children in the car.
Just wanted to toss our issues out there to see if anyone else has had or heard of this issue. So incredibly bummed out.
