After getting the runaround from Chrysler about why our van was not progressing in the build stages and being told that it "should take 12 weeks" we have reached the 12 week point. Our dealer contacted Chrysler directly only to find out they damaged the vehicle during building and had to restart. Looking like the van won't arrive until mid-November, around 15-16 weeks after the order date! We are so frustrated! Any thoughts on whether we should be compensated? By dealer or Chrysler? 16 weeks is so long, especially when other posters have ordered after us and already received their vehicle.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear about that! I don't think it would be out of line to ask the dealer and/or Chrysler to give you an additional discount on the vehicle for having to wait that long. Mine had to be ordered twice after the wrong config was ordered the first time, and it still didn't take as long as yours. The latest builds have only been taking about 6 weeks from order to delivery.

You should try to be aggressive with what you propose to them and even request that you be given a loaner since without the Pacifica it will be a big inconvenience. Who knows, with the right calls and emails you might have a chance at that even if its a rental they pay for. But in the end you should be able to get something or have the option to cancel.
