I'm in b.c. I went with 18 and michelin snow suv winters, I'm happy with them so far
Yes kind of - I'm in Calgary. 😀 I might just do that - it would give more options for winter tires and wheels in 18" size I guess. Just not sure where to start looking for wheels given the AWD has the larger brakes. Most I find, have 35mm offsets, and I'm not sure how well they'll work, and also be large enough to clear the brakes. This is becoming a tedious job. LOL
Thanks for your inputs!!!
https://www.canadawheels.ca/steel-acier-wheels/premium-black-w52462BPraim, What's the make/model of those steel rims in the pic above? I'm looking for a cheap tire/wheel combo to use as a spare to have onboard for a long road trip. Doesn't need to be pretty. Just an insurance plan for when sh** happens in the middle of nowhere
Yeah, I'm sure you can find them easy your side of the border. They worked great for winter rims. Happy trails !Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it's showing as unavailable. And I'm not sure if they'd ship to this side of the border anyhow. But now at least I've got a product and specs to reference while searching US vendors.
TBH it brings the rim close to the front brake caliper, but I had no touch issues after 3k driving. There is like 2mm/3mm clearance I feel is close, but it worked like a charmthe 44 offset doesn't cause any issues? It looks like the stock rims have a 51 offset.
