Dealership it was towed to said the humidity sensor shorted and drained the battery. Now they said the part not available for 5 days, and it's $350 because they can't just change the humidity sensor. When I look i up on line, a humidity sensor for the 2017 Pacifica shows up for $28 - $50 dollars on multiple sites. What the heck is going on?

Ask them what the breakdown is for parts and labor.

Ridiculously easy

Removal & Installation
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
REMOVAL


  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

    CAUTION
    Use care when removing the humidity sensor cover. The humidity sensor bracket cannot be serviced separately from the windshield. If the sensor bracket becomes damaged, the windshield will need to be replaced.

  2. Carefully disengage the four retaining tabs (2 and 4) that secure the cover (3) to the humidity sensor bracket (1) by pressing in on the right side of the cover, while rocking the left side of the cover off the bracket.


    CAUTION
    Use care when removing the humidity sensor. The humidity sensor bracket cannot be serviced separately from the windshield. If the sensor bracket becomes damaged, the windshield will need to be replaced.

  3. Using a small screwdriver or similar tool, carefully disengage the metal retaining clip (3) from the sensor bracket (2) and remove the humidity sensor (4) and the clip as an assembly.
  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the humidity sensor.
  5. If the humidity sensor bracket is damaged and cannot be reused, replace the windshield (Refer to Body/Stationary Glass/WINDSHIELD/Removal and Installation).
INSTALLATION


  1. If the humidity sensor bracket (1) is damaged and cannot be reused, install a new windshield. (Refer to Body/Stationary Glass/WINDSHIELD/Removal and Installation).
  2. Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the humidity sensor (4).

    CAUTION
    Use care when installing the humidity sensor. The humidity sensor bracket cannot be serviced separately from the windshield. If the sensor bracket becomes damaged, the windshield will need to be replaced.

  3. Position the humidity sensor to the sensor bracket (2) and engage the metal retaining clip (3) to the bracket. Make sure both sides of the retaining clip are fully engaged to the bracket.


    CAUTION
    Use care when install the humidity sensor cover. The humidity sensor bracket cannot be serviced separately from the windshield. If the sensor bracket becomes damaged, the windshield will need to be replaced.

  4. Carefully install the humidity sensor cover (3) onto the sensor bracket (1). Make sure the four retaining tabs (2 and 4) are fully engaged to the bracket.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.

Yeah, a reputable Chrysler dealership. That's ridiculous amount of money for that. Take someone 5 minutes to do it by the book and even paying full retail of $70 for the part

Is there anyone I can call with my concerns?
Put information about your Pacifica in your Signature line, so we can know more about what you're dealing with.

If it is still under warranty, it should cost you nothing. If not, did your dealer's service department screw up and require the windshield to be replaced? That would be on them.
