What year is the vehicle .Has anyone found a dealership that can fix this "service shifter" problem? Once mine said it was the non Mopar auxillary battery that needed to be replaced, even though it tested good. They replaced. Five months - no problem. Then it started again - always when you're in a hurry. Car starts immediately, everything works - air, radio, lights - everything except the shifter will not turn. Wait 10 min. and light over shifter comes on and you're good to go, then it was 20 min wait, finally longer than that. The trick I read here about opening the glove box and pressing up on the top worked! Thanks for that!! It's been into service for over 50 hours now and pretty sure they haven't looked at it yet - or maybe they're stumped.
