Hi Po201 here
Its been awhile since I’ve posted. My 2017 Pacifica now has 108000 km on the clock and still going strong.
I just wanted to add something to the trans adaptation reset I described before. Someone responded to my post and said they got a better result when the changed the first step in the procedure.
instead of turning the van to Start and then pushing the accelerator down, have the van in the off position, push the accelerator pedal to the floor then put the switch to Start. The rest of the steps are the same.
I find there is a different between the two. The second way feels like to me that the trans has a sport position and for me its better. Depending on how much I drive I find I reset about once a month.
Another thing I do is to choke up on the gas pedal. In other words, I put my foot as high up on the pedal with my heel still touching the floor. I find this increases the speed of the input and corrects the small jolt you can get when starting off. When I do this the van starts off in first gear. If I don’t do this the van will start in second then quickly drops to first creating a slight jolt.
Other than that I’m still enjoying the van though I have had other issues that I won’t go into here but were fixed under warranty.
My warranty ha run out but so far touch wood nothing else has gone wrong.
hope this helps
