My wife took our van on a short one hour trip and said the radio had restarted on her while driving at least five times. The next day she took a short trip half an hour away from where she was staying in the radio constantly kept doing the same. And then again this morning. Not sure if anyone has had any issues like this recently. Started on 1/7/2022 and Has reoccurred multiple times on the past three days. I saw in some other post from 2018 that their radio had issues with a software update that was pushed and I’m not sure if something like this was recently done that could’ve caused the issue. Thanks for any help.

edit: I pulled the Uconnect fuse and let the car sit for 30 minutes. I just took it for a 10 minute drive. When I restart the van, the display had a different font which I assumed was from resetting it and pulling the fuse. Likewise, there were different apps missing from the app screen. As I pulled out of the driveway, the radio reset after two minutes, after 3 1/2 minutes, and again after another 3 1/2 minutes.

Try pulling fuse 76 for a few minutes and see if that helps. If not it will be a dealer fix.

It’s a know issue with the radio manufacturer that they used , same issue on other forums . Hence the new uconnect radio manufacture and new uconnect .
And they still can't get it right. 😂

If you have the Uconnect Theater option (dual rear screens), try pulling fuses F76 and F55 at the same. This will reset the screen and Video Routing Module (VRM). Afterwards, let everything sit for 30 minutes or so after reinstalling both fuses just like you did the first time.

Should I pull the fuses and wait or pull them and just put them back in and then wait? Also, should I pull them and start the van? Just want to make sure I’m doing it right and also not making it worse.

You pull 76 and wait a few minutes then put it back in.

I pulled 54 and 76 - for a few seconds and Took it for a drive and it reset immediately. Then went 6 minutes without resetting but then after that continued to reset every 3 min 43 seconds. I just pulled them and let it sit for 10 minutes and will put them back in.

OK, pulled both fuses again let the car sit for 15 minutes. Put them back in radio reset in two minutes then repeat it again every two minutes and 43 seconds. Aargh

Looks like it is a trip to the dealer.

Update, bad went to worse.

Went to the Van on Wednesday 1/12 and Van would not start. Gauges work but no crank and had it towed. Shop called and said they had to charge the batteries for 3 hours, pull 3 modules and let it sit overnight. They said they had never seen this or heard of it before and had to contact Star Team to figure out what to do.

The next day the modules were plugged in and nothing changed and they were told to order a new radio to install and I could pick it up. Then when I get there, the Van will not start. HA - This is going to be fun.

Just heard the radio is dying but not dead and it intermittently turns on when the car is off and draws power. This explains the series of abnormalities with the radio over the course of the last month.

Any resolution here? Mine just started having this exact problem. About the same time I started trying out the USB ports in the front to play the uconnect audio through my son's new headphones I got on Amazon. Tried connecting them multiple ways before remembering uconnect uses IR for headphones/remote. Just a dumb moment on my part but I left one of the USB cables plugged in and my system has been having this problem ever since. ~1wk. Woke up to a dead car yesterday morning, maybe it was the cold though..?

Nothing is plugged in now. Still having same uconnect restarting issue. Every few minutes. Any update after installing the new radio from the dealership?
