I purchased a used 2018 in December 2020, I've got 33k miles now.

I've driven it out of town twice, round trip about 200 miles. Both times I've done this I get DTC P24B9 trouble code that pops up the next day.

P24B9 - EVAP System Leak Detection Pump Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

I took it to the dealer the first time and they claimed to have fixed it and claimed that RRT 18-054-17 REV. A does not apply. It just happened last weekend for the second time.

The first time, the dealer did the following:
  • Updated PCM
  • Updated PIM/HCP
  • Updated ABS module
  • Updated EBBM
  • Updated BCM
I can't find any details about this DTC with web searching, searching the forum, and searching the Facebook group.

Does anyone have experience with this code? Anything I can provide the dealer to get it fixed? I don't want to deal with this code every time I drive the van on gas for more than a few miles.

There is a possibility that code might be triggered by a gas cap seal, or other source of a leak stopping the fuel system from developing a negative pressure. Of course, the Pacifica does not have an actual replaceable gas cap, but there is a seal at the filler hole. It should be covered under the emissions system warranty.

P24B9 means your fuel evaporative system OBD module rationality check is not okay. The module is located around carbon canister to run a system leakage diagnostic. Usually, this code could be caused by module damage or wiring harness connection issue...
