Still having issues with my non-hyrbid 2018 Pacifica. Vehicle will say FCC Service Required and then proceed to say start/stop required and cause the engine to die. This is happening very frequently when I come to an intersection or am sitting in traffic. This is NOT the auto start feature when the vehicle turns on and off at stop lights. This is due to the front collision control feature or the lane sense. I then have to put my van in park, while in the middle of intersections (WHICH IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS) and then hit the start button and then put the vehicle back into drive. This occurs sometimes while I'm trying to turn in the middle of an intersection. I have taken it to the dealer multiple times. They claim they put my vehicle to "sleep" and reset something and ran any updates necessary but this is still happening. Of course they cannot recreate the problem. We have captured it on video. This is extremely unsafe especially since we have a young driver in our household. She is not allowed to drive our brand new vehicle due to this issue. Has anyone else had this similar issue????? This has been going on for about 4 months now and no fix yet by Chrysler. Extremely disappointed with this vehicle. This is a major safety issue that needs to be corrected.

Hi Bleathers,

Thank you for letting us know about this, and we're so sorry this is happening. In order to properly address this, a dealer will typically need to either pull error codes or duplicate the issue in person in order to verify what is happening. If you are still noticing this concern is still happening, we would need the vehicle to go back into a dealer for diagnosis, and from there we can open a case for you and get the proper corporate resources involved to assist. If you're interested in this, please send us a PM!

Sorry this site won't let me post a link until I have a higher post count. Thought I could upload a video of what was happening.

Not sure if this link will work but this is the video of what continues to happen. This is the third time I have brought it into the dealer for this issue. First time they did some updates, second time they could not duplicate after driving the vehicle and now it is there now and uncertain of the outcome. We have contacted Chrysler and have a case opened. I am sure we will hear that they can't duplicate the problem and again I will be driving an unsafe vehicle and just will wait til I am at a stoplight and the person behind me thinks I will be able to move when the light turns green and I won't because my vehicle is dead and I will need to put it in park hit start and then back in drive and in that time frame I will be rear-ended. Becoming quite frustrated with this issue.

Just received an update from the dealer. We were informed that Chrysler is now aware of this issue and our dealer all of a sudden has 5 other vehicles with the same issue. Chrysler claims they have engineer working on a program to correct the issue. Will update once we know the exact fix.

My 2018 gasser did this to me yesterday. First hiccup in 11k miles. Not sure if I should take it in or wait until it happens again or confirmation that there's a fix for the problem.

My van is STILL in the shop. Been there for about a month this time. Chrysler is still working on a magical code to fix my van. Still waiting. The shop says they have three other vehicles with the same issue. I will post if there ever is a fix.

My 2018 van stalled for the 2nd time (at a stoplight) yesterday. That's twice in 2 weeks. Once is a fluke, twice sounds like it's time for a trip to the dealer, but I'm not sure what the point is if they don't have a fix yet. :(

Has anyone seen any progress on a fix for this issue? My fan just stalled for the 3rd time on the way into work this morning. The alert is "FCW requires attention" "Stop/Restart required".

It's only ever happened when coming to a stop at a traffic light, and I'm easily able to shift to park and restart. After a restart my lane sensing is turned off and the blue light is lit on the button. I'll probably call the dealer to see about getting it in, but I don't really see much point if the cause hasn't been determined yet. I'd rather have my van and it stall once a week or so than be without it while the dealership does nothing to fix it.

My van is still in the shop, just wanted to give you an update. Chrysler is saying that they do not yet have a code to fix it. I'm still driving a loaner van, been over a month now. I will update as soon as I know anything more.

Hi Maybe_Wayb,
Recently there was a Technical Service Bulletin (18-001-19 - Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Updates) that appears to address concerns similar to the symptoms that you are having with your vehicle. To ensure this TSB applies, we would like to get into the dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the TSB and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can perform the repain procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle. If you would like any additional assistance during this process, feel free to send us a private message.

Great information, thanks for the TSB number--I'll reference that as a possibility and schedule a visit with my dealer. Appreciate the info!

Mine has done this 3 times now @ stop lights. Van just dies. Have to same thing that was in video?
Should I contact Chrysler Cares as well. Is there a set fix yet?
It's actually scary the first time it happens as well. And would freak my wife out if it happened to her let alone my now starting to learn to drive 15 year old daughter.
This doesn't seem like an isolated issue anymore either there are lots of other van owners getting this very DANGEROUS problem. @ChryslerCares

Me too!

I have had the same issues with my 2018 Pacifica. I have 11716 miles on it. It was actually in the shop today to see if the issue could be rectified. Initially, the FCW message would come on and then it would tell me to place the van in park and restart the engine. This happens while stopped at stoplights. At first, I thought that a sensor was dirty. I made sure the van was washed. It still occurred. This happened at least a half dozen times. I got the idea to turn off the FCW in settings, thinking that would temporarily take care of the situation. The FCW message no longer comes on, now the Adaptive Cruise Control warning comes on instead and shut downs the van at stoplights. This has happened a half dozen times, including three times yesterday. The van was driven by technicians today and they could not recreate the problem so I was told there was nothing they could do. I am frustrated. At least it hasn't happened while in the middle of an intersection waiting to turn left.
