Hi there-We had a hit and run on our Sienna That was totaled, and have been car hunting. my wife is a green car enthusiast but not a minivan enthusiast. After some thought though, due to the 30 mile electric, multiple safety features, luxury interior, and multiple convenience features we have been highly considering a new 2017 Pacifica.

However, on reading the main stumbling block is the current uconnect version and possible new upgrade to the 4th generation uconnect that has us holding back for 2018.

Have any of you heard of the status of uconnect 4th generation on the 2018 Pacifica, other possible upgrades, and release date of 2018?

Thanks

Holy cow! Someone on the FB group said their dealer showed them an email from a Chrysler high up stating that they will start taking 2018 orders in 6 weeks so specs must be coming. All the people that haven't even gotten their 2017s are going to flip!

Did they happen to say whether hybrid, gas or both?

OK, then. Disregard my question in the other thread. I would love to see a copy of that e-mail posted. I agree with you, it would be yet another slap to face of the early buy-ins.

Disappointing yes but I guess it would depend on what features, trim and prices will be offered in the 2018 model. The 2017's might be the best value. Also, might have to consider rebates rolling over to 2018.

The only thing confirmed in 2018 is UConnect 4, I believe.

That is kind of a big deal for us. Also, memory seats would be huge for us. If they announce the addition of memory seats for the hybrid in 2018, they wouldn't be able to make the 2017 deal sweet enough for us. The lack of memory seats is probably the single greatest reason we don't own one yet. That is an epic FAIL on the part of the FCA planners for a "well equipped" minivan.

I'm betting we will see more safety features become standard. Toyota is making their advanced safety features standard on all trims of the Sienna for 2018 (AEB, ACC, and Active Lane Departure Warning), and Honda is also making them standard on all but the bottom trim of the 2018 Odyssey.

I ordered my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid on December 20, 2016. To the best of my knowledge, it has been in the storage lot in Taylor, MI for 3 weeks, and it is still there. On one of the other threads, it looks like there is another hold for another quality check on vehicles which are in the process of shipping.

I'm musing over the possibility that if I haven't taken delivery of my 2017 Pacifica Hybrid by the date that they begin taking orders for the 2018 Pacifica Hybrids, I might get a sooner delivery on an order for a 2018 Pacifica Hybrid than if I keep waiting for my 2017 Pacifica Hybrid.
