2019 Pacifica Touring L Plus...about 15000 miles on it now.

Not sure this is getting worse, or I'm just noticing it more.

When get in car in garage for example, and put it in reverse...seems to be slight pause as you hit the gas before car moves. Same as if it's parked and you put in drive. Almost like the computer is deciding what gear you set it to for a "second" before it does anything.

So...foot on brake, turn the gear dial on the dashboard to reverse, put foot on gas to go...then a slight hesitation before it does go.

Again...curious if this is "normal" or not.

Thanks

Sounds pretty normal to me. I always wait until I feel the transmission engage before releasing the brake and applying throttle. If you think the Pacifica is bad, try a Subaru with their cvt transmission. Some owners say it’s so slow they feel it is dangerous!
