I was completing the end of about a 3 hour drive, when all of a sudden my radio spiked to max volume, sounded like it was about to blow the speakers. I immediatley turned off the radio, and spent the next 3-5 mins thinking WTF.

Then I came up to the next turn, and the Navigation told me to turn left. Only the Navigation instructions was at Max volume, doing the same thing almost blowing the speakers and my ears.

This is on top of the fact that if I get out of my car after listening to lets say the XM radio NFL channel, everytime I get back in the car it defaults to channel 88.1 on FM.

And the fact that the left side camera on my birds eye view, 60% of the time is blacked out as if it's not working.

Starting to think I have some electrical issues popping up :( (Apologies for any bad grammar or punctuation)

You definitely have a glitch in the computer system. See your dealer. Be very specific, and if possible have photos of any messages that appear on your screen. Perhaps @ChryslerCares can help by connecting your dealer with the resources they may need.

Hi kayfab3,
We can imagine why this may be frustrating. Have you had a chance to visit you dealer for an inspection? Please send us a private message as we'd like to have this looked into further to try and get these concerns addressed.

I had the same intermittent left-side camera trouble you're describing, but a recent firmware update installed by the dealer fixed it.

I haven't been back to the dealer, since the last time I went for a recall, my car now has a thump in the front end when I back up. (Didn't have it before I went in) So......... now I have to make time to take it back again. Hopefully they can fix everything fairly quick.

I had the same problem with my 2018 Pacifica limited. In my case, the car had only been on a few minutes and I was setting a radio preset, when bam max volume. I tried resetting the infotainment settings through the settings control panel, restarting the car, nothing helped. It was basically at max volume, though I could make adjustments with the volume knob the sound was completely blown out. Turned the car off resigned that I'd have to take it to the shop. Turned it back on a few days later and the volume was back to normal. Will continue monitoring.

Don't hold your breathe. I have had my 2019 in for some of those same problems many times. I have also contacted customer care. All they tell me is that there WILL be an update. When I asked when, they said they have no idea.

The max volume issue happened to me yesterday. I think when I switched the infotainment screen from navigation to the XM radio that was already playing the radio volume jumped to max. I turned the volume down to 0 which muted the audio, then the speed warning was max, and I shut off the GPS navigation before it could give another direction just in case that was going to be max volume. Turned the car off for 1 minute, back on and volume was still max when turned to volume level 1. After sitting off for a few hours the car audio level went back to normal. This is like the only thing the radio can do to become a serious safety issue.

Hi treyhick,

We sincerely regret to hear of your unpleasant experience with your radio! What is the model year of your vehicle? We're happy to look into this further. Please feel free to follow up in a private message to discuss this further.
