So our 2020 Pacifica Limited S has been at the dealership for a week now. We bought our Pacifica about 3-4 weeks ago. Had problems with the radio (8.4 Uconnect) from the get go - although it worked fine when we picked it up and drove it home. Most of the time however it wouldn’t work. Just white noise out of the speakers on any input. Sometimes it just cycles through the inputs nonstop. On occasion the screen wouldn’t even turn on - making climate controls difficult at best. Maybe 10-20% of the time it would work normally.

Service Department ordered a new stereo. Apparently what we received should not have been installed as the model number is incorrect?! There’s no ETA on the radio and they ordered it 2 weeks ago. Nobody seems to know anything?

Dealership loaned us a used 2018 for the time being but does anyone have any other advice?

Odd that it worked initially. If it was a 2018 or 2019 I'd say look if the battery was weak but being a 2020 that shouldn't be the case. Just a fluke maybe?

A brand new car shouldn’t be having such issues on a prolonged basis. Talk to Chrysler corporate, may be they can get you into a new car rather than experimenting on your car while you drive the loaner. It’s a long shot, but may be it could be your lucky day. Don’t bother that with dealerships- they won’t do squat.

As far as I know @ChryslerCares wouldn’t help in Canada, but worth a try. There should be an address for Chrysler corporate in Canada.

If you are sending a letter please use registered post or Fedex, someone has to look into that and clear it with the superiors (unlike a phone call or email- you never know) Good luck.

** Update **
Replacement radio finally came in, dealer did the swap and the same problem persisted. Tried an older radio swap with no fix. Dealer did some troubleshooting on their own and discovered the problem started whenever the lights were on. (Being in Canada, its dark a lot right now so the lights are on a lot). As it turns out, there was a short in the Aux port causing all the issues. Dealer swapped the Aux port and everything seems to be working.

First of all, consider how good at trouble shooting that dealer was! To determine that the aux port shorted out the radio only when the lights were on is **** impressive. Second how quickly Chrysler Cares responded with a Canadian phone number. And lastly, I commend you for giving us the real solution to thevradio!
