2018 White Touring LP

Hi team, looking for advice here since a handful of members have taken the 22" plunge.
I have finally convinced the missus that we should just buy new shoes for the marshmallow so I can avoid the winter/summer tire swap fees...and thus, we arrive at my 22" roadblock questions.

I'm trying to avoid fender poke...(a little OCD about clean cars) so wondering:

1) what offset/wheel width works best with a 22" wheel to keep it withing the fender walls as much as possible.
(+40 better than 35/38...will it even fit without rubbing in the rear?)

2) Will going with a 9" wide wheel serve me better than a 9.5? or does it mostly depend on what tire i wrap it in?

RSR springs are on the menu but I'm waiting for the wife to stop curbing the bumper in parking spots...

I don’t know about the wheels and offset.. I’m in the same boat. I’m trying to figure it out too before I order my wheels. But I do have the rsr springs and they only lower the van about an inch and when you go up to a 22” rim there is only about 1/4” different in ride height

That depends largely on what size tire you mount on them . Some here use a 265/35/22 which is very similar to the diameter of the factory 20" set up. I run a 265/40/22 which is about 4% larger. My 22' x 9.5' wheels have a +35 offset and were pretty flush with the fenders. I say "were" because i added a 12mm spacer to gain a little "poke" To keep inside the fenders you would need a +40 maybe.

With a 12mm spacer did you have to lengthen tour lug bolts? Or did you use a bolt on style spacer? And if you used a bolt on spacer did you have to cut your factory lug bolts

I pressed out the studs and used extended ones.

where can I find the extended lugs and did you keep it 12mx1.5?

Yes, they are M12 x 1.5.....actually for a Mitsubishi lancer but fit perfectly. I checked with ARP on the hole diameter and spline diameter allowances and these were bang in the middle of the tolerances. I pressed them in with a ball joint tool and they were VERY tight in there. No chance of them spinning when torquing up the lug nuts. I actually cut the noses off as I did not want to use open end lug nuts. As you can see, there is some poke now, effective offset with the spacers is +23. You could probably go up to a 20mm spacer with these easily. I have some 1.50" lowering springs to go on soon and may even have to remove the spacers to avoid fender rub.!

I saw the ones for evo by arp. Now I’m having a hard time finding hub centric spacer in the 15mm range. Your van is looking really good. Keep up the work👍

I was also looking at the ARP ones ,but then stumbled on the Megans that seem exactly the same spec but far less expensive. A little more expensive, but these guys can make any size you want. I checked ,and a set of Hub-centric 15mm (4) would be $180.00.
