I have 3 bumps (bubbles?) in dash. Had it for one week but noticed it the first night. We pointed it out to service today when we dropped it off for something else. The guy was a little stumped by it. Anyone else have this prob? Didn't get a pic yet...

I can't locate the previous thread(s), but there were a couple of owners that were experiencing the same issues that you describe. I don't recall what the end result was, but if I'm not mistaken ChryslerCares chimed in and was ready to assist them with the issue. Sorry I can't be more helpful but remembering back 2-4 months is becoming more and more of a challenge, especially when I can't remember what I did yesterday.

Thanks. Service hadn't dealt with this before and went to look at other new cars on the lot. A few cars had the same prob and a few didn't so he kept our ticket open so he can. Contact a warranty advisor/chrysler and see what he is supposed to do.
Take it in for service and they will glue it back down
Glue what? Part of my concern is something is pushed up or out affecting other things. I took a pic...its hard to show in the photo so tried to draw arrows to 2 of the 3 spots. One pic with arrows and one without

Hi BigMamasPaci,

Sorry to hear about this! We'd recommend visiting your local dealership for further diagnosis and assistance. Feel free to PM our page with your VIN for further assistance if needed.

Thanks Andrea. It is supposed to be looked at tomorrow by a warranty advisor along with speaker issues. Hopefully There is a fix for both.

UPDATE: Chrysler is covering a replacement of the dash.

It should be in to the dealer by next week. I still think it's something poking up from under the dash but we will see. My car was not the only one to have this issue on their lot.

We just purchased our Pacifica today and I noticed similar bumps on our dash during the drive home. I agree that it feels like something hard is poking up from underneath. Please let us know how the dash swap goes...I'm a little worried about introducing squeaks, though. I can live with the bumps much better than I could with the squeaks.

Have very similar "bumps" popping up on our limited trim dash panel. Need to get that fixed along with this terrible noise coming from the area of the sunroof.

Only had it for 2 weeks but they have been taking care of us so far.

I didn't think about squeaks. Do you think a new dash will introduce squeaks?

Please keep us updated on what they say about the bumps. Sorry about your sunroof :(

It is most likely glue not holding down the top layer of the dash. Mazda had this issue with their Mazda3 2010-??? but it was rare. It was a voluntary recall that Mazda initiated to take care of the few dashes that did not hold up well. Mine was ok.

Interesting. Might just be a coincidence that all the bubbles (in my car and the others on the lot) are above the radio then.

I have the dash bumps too. August 2016 build, Touring L Plus. Seems to have become worse over time. It is definitely something protruding from underneath the surface & not delamination of materials. Willing to live with it unless it gets worse. Don't trust a dealer enough to tear into the dash to fix a cosmetic issue.

I checked mine, touring l plus, and do not have dash bumps above the radio.

My thought is two fold in getting it fixed. 1) This is my first brand new car and I expect it to be perfect until I happen to make it not perfect, lol. 2) is it *just* a cosmetic issue? Or is something not sitting right and can potentially cause more problems later? The sooner I point it out, the sooner they can try to make amends and have a record in case something else goes wrong.

Hi everyone,

I grabbed the photos that @BigMamasPaci posted earlier in this thread but if you are experiencing these bumps/bubbles can you post images of what your dash pad looks like?
I'd like to send some examples over to the Brand for further review. Thank you!
