Earlier discussions suggested that the Pacifica Hybrid Touring-L should come with two regular keyfobs and the "keysense" fob. Mine only came with one plus the keysense. I foolishly entered a password for the keysense fob and now cannot disable its features. Questions: 1) Does the dealer owe me a key fob 2) can the dealer disable the keysense?

By the way- others have posted repeatedly about difficulty getting carplay to work- one dealer said my 2018 Hybrid didn't have it (it does), another found that the module was defective and replaced it- voila- CARPLAY.

Welcome to the forum.
I'm pretty sure you should get 2 regular fobs (+ a keysense fob - if equipped with that feature) so I would check with the dealer about getting another regular fob.

See if you can turn off Keysense in the touchscreen settings of UConnect (Safety section). In the Multimedia section (about p. 576 gas manual) of the extensive owner's manual that you can download, it looks like Keysense might be able to be turned off if you can't figure out how to reprogram it. You can download more extensive manuals from the Mopar and UConnect websites.

Edit: I just noticed that the hybrid manual didn't have an option listed in the manual to turn Keysense off, but it might just be an error in the hybrid manual. I would check the touchscreen settings anyway. Maybe a hybrid owner will assist you so you don't have to go back to the dealer to have it reset.

Yes, the dealership owns you another key. If they say any other response or ask for payments (however small it might be, contact Chryslercares by pm.
Once you entered keysense options in Uconnect, it’s done deal as far as I’m concerned. There is no way to disable it from menu options at least, don’t know if the dealership can do something about it, but I doubt though. But you can change the settings to your liking (or put on the least irritating setting). You can increase the speed limit to a max of 85mph.

There is no debate, if you have keysense you are owed 3 keys total.

2018 has carplay. I'll have to reserve advice to the IOS experts.

However, basic troubleshooting would dictate trying another cable, trying another device, even trying an android device to see if android auto will hook up.

As for Carplay, if you want more apps then jailbreak and install Carbridge. After that almost any app can be run on the big screen. I love it.

Hi brianpartridge,
We recommend contacting your selling dealer in order to receive that 3rd fob. Please send us a private message if you need any assistance with this!

I had this issue recently although I bought the vehicle CPO. I eventually had to speak to the sales manager and he argued that for used cars they are now selling them with one key because sometimes they get them from auction and that's all they have. He said they are training their salesmen to go over this (mine didn't) and he tried to say they did but had he...I would've made a huge stink about it at that time! So I know darn well it was never covered.

I told him I understood the confusion and asked if their guys were trained on what "keysense" is because when I was handed two keys...I thought I had two keys! It wasn't until the keysense key wasn't working and I noticed it was different and got on the forums to find out. So 10 minutes later he says "wait, what is keysense? My point exactly, your salesmen, or even you, have no idea about the product you are selling and think youre just giving a customer 2 regular keys! After that stumped him, he agreed to a new key.

I should've been a lawyer!

I don't believe the Keysense fob can be changed to a 'regular' fob, however I bought a used Pacifica that came with the Keysense fob. The service department cleared the stored code which allowed me to input my own code and Keysense options.
