Decided to add a 30 amp electrical panel, stow-n-go of course, to use when camping.
Well, the first phase of the wiring project is basically complete. The AC side of the house is wired and tested. I haven’t run the cable through the van yet, because the 30 amp plugs I ordered are coming late (tomorrow). Once they arrive I’ll make the cable (that runs from the hitch to the power grid) and add photos.
Haven’t wired the DC side in yet (just have to connect one wire to a circuit breaker) because I don’t need it yet. Once I decide to add a storage battery it will only take a few minutes.
The smaller wires out the back are for 12 volt circuits should I decide to add anything. The two red wires are for charging - one to the storage battery and one to the car battery.
Got a little PO’d - I ordered a commercial cutting board to mount the unit on, thinking it would be pretty scratch resistant. Nope. Not only did it get scratched up, the scratches showed up white on the black surface. Hence, a flat black coat of paint. Not what I envisioned, but shrug
Any questions please ask.
