Well I learned today why my Uconnect isn't connecting in my 2017 Pacifica Touring L-Plus. It's because Chrysler no longer supports 3g and my unit is 3G. The Uconnect Rep said the 2022 and 2023 units are 4g and if I go to the dealer to get one be sure to ask for a "Connected" unit. I have very little understanding of what she is talking about. My question is, and I've read several upgrade posts, is there an upgrade head unit to the 4g Connected state? Has anyone does this? I checked out infortainment.com and they clearly state their upgrades do not add 4g. Otherwise the unit works great. I'm guessing I just have to do iHeart radio, etc. with my phone connected via Bluetooth. I do have the OBDII dongle that gives me 4G hotspot capability but it doesn't help the radio unit.

The 3G network is gone now, I upgraded my 2017 gas Pacifica with a unit I got from infotainment and the 4G modem has to be in the radio because my hotspot works (its not very fast) but since I have not paid for it im not complaining. Also the sat radio has worked since I got it (been over a year now).I am going go keep my eye out for another unit for my 2017 hybrid so I can swap that unit out, but that kit from infotainment is 2000 now, was 1600 when I upgraded the gas van.
