Not sure if anyone else picked up on this, but Chrysler is offering those that get the 8 passenger configuration a free upgrade to the 20" tire and wheel upgrade... probably due to feedback with losing the sunroof when 8 passenger seating is needed.

All of a sudden, that makes the Limited rather attractive for me as I need 8 passenger seating.

it also tempted me quite a bit but u are still paying for other things u may not care for......and u lose the tv screen as standard.....a set of 20's and tires should be around 2000 on the free market so i guess it depends on what numbers u are at with your offers.......

Very true... and I just priced some 18s custom wheels on the cheaper end with mid range tires and I was looking at $1500. But yes, one can get a lot more "stuff" in the Touring L Plus for the same price as a bottom near option free Limited. Then again, that Limited offers other "stuff" that you simply cannot get with the Touring L Plus.

As for the tv screen... I was planning on having a roof mounted system installed... better viewing for passengers and... I need something to go where the sunroofs went!

I honestly wish the Touring L Plus had an option to delete the tv screens so I could install the roof mount system... or give us the option for a third roof mounted screen for the third row passengers to view. The Town & Country had an awesome set up for this.

Yes, it has been this way since the beginning. It's packaged that way because the 8th seat alone is not the same value as the sunroof.

I just picked up my Limited today with the 8 passenger and 20" rims. I am thrilled with the wheels - I think they really make the vehicle stand out and look just beautiful. I contemplated the loss of the sunroof and wished there was one just over the driver. But my wife pointed out correctly that we never used the sunroof anyway. In the end, I wanted the 8 passenger seat more for the console and don't think I will miss the sunroof. Plus I get to see those badass rims every day and I love it!

I'm shopping for a Pacifica and a little confused about the options.

What is the 8 seat option? Is it a removable center seat in the center row?

I'm looking at the Limited with the Tri-Pane Panoramic Sunroof, but there is no way to get that with the 8 passenger config? Just wondering why they need to delete a sunroof to add the 8th passenger?

Does the 8th seat stow to provide a console for the center row? Just trying to find some info on the 8th seat in the pacifica and can't get much good info on it.

Thanks

The eighth seat is removable. When not in use the back of it can be folded forward and it becomes a console where you can rest your arm and has 2 cup holders and a small open compartment. Very nice. It does not stow, it's either a seat, a console or it's removed. Its seatbelt is anchored in the roof therefore no sunroof. The seat is easily removed and installed and it is not heavy. I have had it fully loaded with eight passengers twice in the past couple of months and no one complained. No regrets getting it whatsoever.

Agree completely. Very happy to have the console/seat. I would give up the seat if I could keep the console and get the sunroof back!

Thanks for the pictures. If I have forward facing car seats installed on the two outer seats, isn't there a way to move those seats forward for entry in to the rear seat? What is the name of that feature and is it standard on all models?

yeah I am having a tough time deciding between the sunroof or the 8th seat! Thanks for your reply.
