is it really as easy as swapping the visor? A visor can be had relatively inexpensively online, even new. Anyone know?
People have been trying to get this to work in other Chrysler vehicles for years without success, but I just read recently that somebody was able to get it to work in a 200 by clipping the gray control wire and grounding it to the black wire. Apparently the control wire needs to see ground. So it's not quite plug and play, but sounds pretty easy to do.is it really as easy as swapping the visor? Not sure how easy it is. Finding the matching interior color might not be easy. What do you consider "relatively cheap". A replacement from Chrysler in the correct color will set you back over $300.is it really as easy as swapping the visor? A visor can be had relatively inexpensively online, even new. Anyone know?
Are the headliners not all the same color? They pop up on eBay for about $60.Not sure how easy it is. Finding the matching interior color might not be easy. What do you consider "relatively cheap". A replacement from Chrysler in the correct color will set you back over $300.
Haven't seen any that cheep yet on ebay that match the alloy interior and I have had a search alert on ebay for the visor. Are the headliners not all the same color? They pop up on eBay for about $60.

What other colors have you seen? I wasn't aware they came in different colors.Haven't seen any that cheep yet on ebay that match the alloy interior and I have had a search alert on ebay for the visor.
That my very well be it and $86 is cheap. When I checked on the replacement earlier it was over $300 and I was certain I was on the Chrysler replacement parts web site. I can't figure out what I might have been looking at. Thanks for straightening me out. Just need to verify the interior color code and we are in business. Is this not it?
VISOR. Left. Illuminated. Headliner and Visors; Headliner with Sunroof and for 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Limited 3.6L V6 24V VVT Upg I w/ESS, 9-Spd 948TE FWD/AWD Auto Trans. #6EL07PD2AB

$86 seems inexpensive to me in relation to a nearly $50k vehicle.
Nope, not it. Try this:Is this not it?

I've read that there is a homelink control wire (gray wire perhaps) that can connect to an optional alarm system on some vehicles. If the alarm is set, the homelink is disabled BUT w/o alarm homelink is always powered and enabled even when van is off, locked and keyFOB is not nearby (which I don't personally like because I often park in the driveway and don't want anyone with a brick to have "homelink access" into my house).People have been trying to get this to work in other Chrysler vehicles for years without success, but I just read recently that somebody was able to get it to work in a 200 by clipping the gray control wire and grounding it to the black wire. That is the one I was looking at previously. I knew it was over $300. ThanksNope, not it. Try this:

You have to be careful on Chrysler parts descriptions as to whether they have a + or a - in front of a feature. I believe the one you linked is "- garage door opener" instead of "+ garage door opener".
I am not sure. Maybe all the headliners are the same color. I'll have to check on that. As far as the $60 visors on ebay with home link do you think they would work? You posted that people have been trying for years without success except for something you recently read. Are the headliners not all the same color? They pop up on eBay for about $60.
True enough, but I guess it's not any less secure than having a remote clipped to the visor. The way I look at it, if somebody is willing to brake a window to get into the van, they probably would be willing to brake a window to get into the house too anyway. If the alarm is set, the homelink is disabled BUT w/o alarm homelink is always powered and enabled even when van is off, locked and keyFOB is not nearby (which I don't personally like because I often park in the driveway and don't want anyone with a brick to have "homelink access" into my house).
From what I've read, I believe it will work if you ground the control wire. I bought one on eBay, but don't have anything to try it with currently since my Pacifica and Cherokee both already have homelink. As far as the $60 visors on ebay with home link do you think they would work? Ok, that makes sense. $300+ is a lot to not clip a clicker on my visor. Not sure I want to drop that much, and then have to rig it in anyway.Nope, not it. Try this:

Keep an eye on eBay. I bought one for $60. If I don't end up getting a hybrid by the end of the year, I'll give someone a good deal on itOk, that makes sense. $300+ is a lot to not clip a clicker on my visor. Not sure I want to drop that much, and then have to rig it in anyway.
I agree. For $86 bucks, yea. For $315. i'll go with my clickers.Ok, that makes sense. $300+ is a lot to not clip a clicker on my visor. Not sure I want to drop that much, and then have to rig it in anyway.
No windows on my detached garage so "Homelink" is the only serious security "weaklink" I see so until I get a chance to rewire it to power off completely when the Pacifica is powered off it will just have to remain unprogrammed as it is now. Way too insecure for my taste just like the old clickers were. I come from a law enforcement family so I basically get audited with every visit.... but I guess it's not any less secure than having a remote clipped to the visor.
