Just picked up a L+ last week. So far I like the van, but getting a little frustrated with this Uconnect Theater system. Finding it difficult to operate it. 2 kids 6 and 4. The 4 year can't reach the screen. They don't understand how to operate it yet in the 2nd row and I can't figure out how to control it for them up front. I need to Uconnect for dummies guide. Not sure if the remotes pair the same for each screen or they should be individually paired to each screen. Seems like it pairs to the same screen. So far the system has been disappointing. So I'm here in hopes to figure it all out.

few questions.

1. How is the search function on this site? Useful? Not so much?
2 Is there an ongoing tracking thread for TSB and Recalls? The section I briefly looked at didn't appear to have much.
3 Which section is the best to start digging in my understanding for this Uconnect system? Electronics?

I tend to use the "Active Topics" page once or twice a day so I catch all the new posts. You will find stuff you didn't know you needed to know that way, and when you click on each post you can see what group it was posted to so you know where to search for that type of info later.

As far as the theater system... I don't know why car entertainment isn't perfected at this point. They all seem to have silly quirks that make you wonder if a real person ever used the system.

Can you put the smaller kid on the passenger side and slide the front seat as far back as possible to see if they can reach it?

Just playing with the system in the driveway is probably they best way to figure out the finer points.

Yea, honestly I don't know what the difference is between active topics and new posts. They seem to do the same thing.

"Active Topics" shows topics with recent posts, even if you've read every post in the topic. "New Posts" shows topics with posts you haven't read.

Clicking "Active Topics" allows you to miss posts if you don't read the board every day. "New Posts" will show all topics with new posts, even if you haven't read the board in a long time. To mark a topic as read, just right click on the last page number and open it in a new tab. You can then either read it or close the tab to mark the topic as read.
