Hey, if Auto Climate is enabled, does that mean that both the driver and passenger should automatically be synced? Or does the auto work with different temps on both sides?

Your choice. You can have two different temps set or have them synced so that they both change when you change the driver's side temp. You can also choose to have the rear temp synced as well.
