Auto-headlight sensitivity

Does anyone know if we or the dealer can adjust the auto headlight sensitivity? I scoured the options in my Uconnect system and the owners manual but didn't see anything. They seem to be overly sensitive on my vehicle. I can be in stop and go traffic on a completely cloudless sunny day and stop under the shadow of a tree and the headlights will come on. Then it takes them a min or 2 to turn off! Kind of annoying because then the dash lights dim when the headlights come on and i cant see the gauges or Uconnect screen because its so bright out!

I asked them to apply the TSB because my surround camera image was extremely dark when pulling into the garage on a sunny day. I couldn't make out any details. The TSB fixed this problem but it also seemed to improve the display when backing out of the garage.

I had to play around with my settings a bit to answer your question about backing up... as mentioned, most of the time, I leave the instrument panel dimmer in "Parade Mode", which leave the display screen at 10 regardless of whether the lights are on or off. But I switched it down a notch so there's a difference in the two levels, and there is still a delay. So I went back into the Settings page for the Display. I don't see a delay setting... but I think I have a headlight off delay set (so they stay on... next trip I'll see if turning that off affects the display.

I want to update this thread with an interesting find. I’m at the dealership now for some other service and they let me take out a new 2018. I simulated my issue with the interior gauges and screen not brightening on my 2017 when the lighting conditions outside are bright.....for example pulling out of my garage during the day. Lights are on while in the garage, I pull out into the bright sunlight, but gauges and Uconnect screen fail to immediately brighten. The new 2018 gauges/Uconnect brightened immediately!!! So there is hope maybe some sort of update can fix our older 2017 models. It did seem that the overall dimming range of the 2018 was similar though so no real changes there.
I will update if I find any software updates that improve my 2017.
