Don't mean to hi-jack the thread, but wondering, so many of you seem to know this stuff, If I understand correctly, I read this wheel will fit the OP and Kenbenezer's 2021 gas, AWD - REAR only due to the larger brakes on the front (of AWD). I have a 2021 gas, FWD, will this 'compact' wheel clear & fit both front & back as a true spare?

Thanks in advanced.

Thanks, makes sense now that I know. It seems the comment in the OP about larger calipers and rotors could still be an issue with an inflatable kit however.
Yes, evidently a 4th reason for a spare tire delete is that they don't make one for the Pacifica AWD or if they did, it wouldn't fit in the original place designed for the spare (if you read the whole thread).

The van should come with an inflator kit and goo that might help with a flat tire in some cases.

If you don't have AWD, then the Pacifica inflatable spare should fit all wheels. @Kenbenezer found a larger spare that would work on the back of an AWD Pacifica since the Pacifica spare would be too small.

There are many other spare tire threads for non-AWD Pacificas.

Wholeheartedly agree with you SciTchr, and others, that there are other opts for spares for a 2021, namely the inflatable emergency spare... I am just not there yet trusting that deflated/inflatable one, and, also, the issue is the cost of that being like $300+, AND in short supply. That said, I went the route of buying a full-size wheel & tire to be used only as a spare. It is a beast in size, fits no-where and takes up like half the well behind the 3rd row seats.

Then I see the mention on here of the compact, donut one that @Kenbenezer found, I'm intrigued. One, because that spare, rim & tire, off a totaled Jeep of the year (and size/stats) he mentions can be had for a little over $100, shipped, off e-bay, etc. I'm just wondering how physically big it really is, and if the steel wheel @Kenbenezer found will clear the brakes of both the front & back of a FWD model. I do not want to be on the road and have a flat/failure that the pump & goop won't fix to get me off said side of the road. I don't want to be at the mercy of calling for that 'help' road-side-assistance, that says they'll come and change your tire for you, IF you have a tire to change... I can change it myself, again, but I'd have to 'have' it to change. Besides the wait, all they are going to be able to do is tow.

I'm not a tire expert by any means.
Post #8 has photos of @Kenbenezer larger spare tire in the van cargo area for size.

The AWD brakes are larger in diameter, and their calipers are wider than FWD van. The 18inch x 4 inch mini spare wheel from the Grand Cherokee only clears the rear AWD brakes. If I get a front flat, I will be changing two wheels to move a rear wheel to the front. A bummer, but still better than nothing. Regarding spare sizes. Our full size tires are around 29.1" diameter. The GC mini spare came with t175/90d18 which measures 30.4". I put a 165/90d18 on my wheel which measures 30.1 inches in diameter.

You have put a lot of work into this. ;) I think I may buy a Cherokee spare for road trips. Part of the reason we opted for an AWD was to go camping and drive more remote areas. I dont want to get stranded on a back road with only a can of fix a flat. Also. 2 years ago I was driving out 2007 Caravan cross country and had a catastrophic blowout on the highway in Idaho. I would have been screwed without a full spare.

Nice writeup @Kenbenezer

I have a 2021 limited AWD, want to get a spare for long distant travel.
I know that the Chrysler 17 inch spare won't clear the AWD front brakes, but would it clear the rear brakes?
Short answer, no. When I reviewed it on the CAD tube, the inside of the wheel spider, where it meets the rim, crashes through the rear caliper. By at least a 1/4". I simulated a wheel spacer. And, you would need something 2.5 - 3" thick for the wheel to clear the caliper. Not practical, nor safe.

Here’s another possible spare solution for us AWD owners, but like the jeep wheel, it’s really not that much smaller than just getting a fifth full-size wheel and tire.

Do Hybrids (2017-22) have the AWD front brakes or FWD front brakes? The hybrid vans are heavier due to the battery but maybe still retain the FWD brakes?

Also with this spare in place I assume the 3rd row is not usable?

The Hybrids have FWD brakes, apparently, because they can come with 17" wheels/tires (and that's what I use for my winter wheels/tires on my Hybrid: 17")

On my customized spare, I lose the use of the two up portion of the third row. Meaning, I can only seat one person in the third row with the spare mounted to the quarter panel. When I carry a load of people, I unbolt the spare and store it in the rear floorwell. I wrap a ratchet strap through the the wheel and secure it to back of third row seat. But I lose luggage space. Not all of it, but a significant amount.

So, I have grown tired of unbolting my interior mounted spare, on my AWD Pacifica, when I need the third row seat. So my latest solution was to buy the inflatable FWD spare. I then bought a 2 inch wheel spacer. Wheel clears brakes by about 1/8 inch.
PLEASE NOTE - to use this reduced diameter inflatable spare, you will need to pull fuse F62, from the underhood fuse box. This will disable the AWD system, to prevent damage, from having one wrong diameter wheel on the vehicle.

I have a 2018 Touring L Plus FWD. I have been looking for spare for a year now. I think this collapsible spare may work for me. Could you give the part number and where you bought it? Any chance you know the Bolt pattern, Center bore and wheel offset?

The correct spare for fwd is Mopar PN 4726720AC, it has been discontinued, which is why it is hard to find. Bolt Pattern is 5 x127mm bolt circle with a 71.5mm hub bore dia. It was part of the entire spare tire kit Mopar PN 82214534AB, which is also discontinued. I bought my spare wheel off of Ebay. It can also be found at car-part.com. Which is used parts from scrap yards.

Thanks for the info. I will give it a try. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Can you link where you got this specific spacer? Any issues driving with it. I'm sure it's probably not the safest but it can help get you to tire shop in a pinch. Just got an AWD Pacifica, looking for a spare for road trip and turns out we don't have any options lol

I have not driven any distance on it. Only a trial in my driveway. PLEASE NOTE - to use this reduced diameter inflatable spare, you will need to pull fuse F62, from the underhood fuse box. This will disable the AWD system, to prevent damage, from having one wrong diameter wheel on the vehicle.
