I'm new here, just bought a 2021 AWD limited without realizing that there was no spare so I need to find one. From this thread it seems that you found that an 18" spare from a 2012-2015 Grand Cherokee fits only the rear axle. Is that correct?

I bought a steel 18 x 4 mini spare wheel from a 2012 through 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This wheel clears the rear brakes. Later model Grand Cherokees offered an aluminum rim, that according to CAD does not clear the brakes. Tire store put a t165/90d18 tire on it. View attachment 46400
I fabricated a small steel structure, that bolts into the quarter panel, similar to the inflatable spare structure.

I fabricated a bolt to hold the spare tire.

I created a small box that bolted to the floor of the compartment. It holds the jack and tire tools.

I purchased the inflatable spare cover and put a small hole in it.

I fabricated a wood brace that slides into the gap next to the stowed seat. The wood brace stabilizes the spare and prevents the spare from sqeeking against the interior panel.

Thanks, just wanted to confirm before buying. Cheers!Yes, that is correct. I gave details about it on page 1 of this thread. On page 2, I talk about how I grew weary of hauling the large spare. So I purchased an inflatable spare and a wheel spacer.
