Hi everyone,

I thought I'd ask here as well as going to the dealer. I have read about some issues with the 9 speed transmission slip ring throwing u0402 but this is slightly different in that occasionally braking (possibly hard, not enough data points to confirm) will send ESS failure for the rest of the journey. Stopping and starting the car will reset ESS and it will once again work until another random brake pedal press will cause it to fail. The u0402 CEL will remain as a stored code.

Has anyone experienced this?

I have had ESS go off after hard acceleration, don't think I've seen it for braking. Please update with what you find at dealer.
