I forgot to lock the charging door and snapped it while backing out of my tiny garage. Thankfully it was not plugged in and there is no damage to the door itself. Just the cosmetic casing got ripped off. Since the plastic tabs are broken, I was not able to click it back on to the door.
Has this happened to you? Have you tried fixing it?
How much does the dealer charge to fix it?
please see attached pictures.
Thanks!

Yes, this has happened to a couple of others here. Had it been plugged in the vehicle will not allow you to move.

I am not sure what they did to fix theirs.

Thanks! Good to know that it’ll not move while charging. Will wait to hear from others.
It seemed like it was an easy fix from what a read.

I had that happen to mine. It wasn’t damaged as much as yours apparently. I was able to get it to stay attached to the door. If you broke the tabs maybe you could repair them with some epoxy made especially for plastics. I’ve had pretty good experience with that stuff.

Thanks for the tip! I was going to see if it’s covered under my extended max care warranty. Will try the epoxy stuff. Do you recommend any product that has worked for you?
