Has anyone in CA received their hybrid?

I gather that some dealers have received their showroom models but no retail pre-orders have been delivered (all en route/being shipped)?

Starting a thread so that the farthest state from production can track deliveries and hopefully see patterns enough to extrapolate based on order dates:nerd:

Actually quite a few of us have.

I believe in SoCal there are hybrids available at Huntington Beach Chrysler with a discount. And the banner ad I see here all the time is Alhambra Chrysler.

The 1st wave of deliveries made it to the SF Bay Area in late April/early May. The 2nd wave of deliveries has been held at the Benicia rail yard since May 12th. As of last week there were 140 PacHys there waiting for the safety hold to be lifted.

For those who have, do you know if it was delivered to the dealership or the dealer arranged for pick up from SF/Bay area? Can't quite reason why mine is stuck/in shipment. I see the banner ad too! did Alhambra order a ton of these as soon as the booking opened? I am sooo banking on mine arriving by July 4th weekend, have a trip planned. I'll call Alhambra tomorrow!

That's insight beyond what the chyrsler chat folks have available! If you don't mind sharing, how are you gathering this info. Is there a way I can track my VIN? (beats my pea head as to why this should not be available, car or crane or package, same thing, should be trackable in stages of transit!!)

I know about the 1st wave of deliveries from this forum & PacHy FB group. As for the 2nd wave, my window sticker had a ship date of 5/1 on it. My dealer called me on 5/12 saying it was at Benicia & it should be delivered to the dealership within a few days. Then the safety hold happened. I heard the manager's call with the rail yard last week. It was the rail yard that said there were 140 PacHys there & they wanted them gone too! Unfortunately there does not seem to be any reliable way to track to the SF Bay Area after the "SL" listed on the window sticker. A dealer is Sacramento was able to tell another buyer exactly where the train was on it's journey to CA, but my dealer didn't know how/want to do that.

here is one technique: i was following my dealer's invoiced vehicles: New Chrysler Dodge Jeep Models in San Francisco & Daly City, CA

FCA started shipping on 4/17. This dealer had initially 30 orders in transit invoiced between 4/18 and 4/26. Actually, they had perhaps one or two invoiced on 4/18, the rest of it invoiced between 4/21 and 4/26. This is the entire first wave. Till this day i don't see that they have shipped anything after 4/26 (maybe one or two). By the invoice date i mean the sl date on the window sticker of these cars.

When the truck arrives, orders go from "in transit" to active all at once. When the vehicle is under contract, it dissapears entirely. They had 2 deliveries, 7 (1 truck) and then another 4 a few days after. Perhaps on 5/7 or so for the last time. Since after that, all of those 19 vans (out of 30) have been still in transit (almost all of them the "first wave" week). People, including me, were told the vans were in Benicia, but none was delivered for weeks, which is beyond the simple "not enough trucks" explanation. Apparently the dealers were (maybe still are) clueless of the hold, as they were trying to tell me that my car was going to be in just "two days max", whereas i was already aware of the hold before they were, and that if history is any indication, they would not see their vehicles for weeks. Turns out i was right, with the only question now being if weeks will turn into months. It would seem to me that it's almost as if some team from the manufacturer is flying between yard locations and updating and inspecting them in person one by one, which would explain that the hold is released at different times at different locations. No other reasonable explanation fits quite as well. It is also obvious that they don't want dealers to do it, and don't want dealers to even know what they are doing. I am no longer after that vehicle, so I don't care. But, that's how it is traceable for the Bay Area.

Some people more informed than me were floating the number, 140 vehicles, held in Benicia. I bet at least 90% of those are still part of those 700 sold orders placed between December and April, 1.

I think those of us in the early May period were the lucky ones who got our vans. Mine was priced order 3 Jan., manufacturing complete 20 Feb., I picked it up on 9 May. Everything about the van is great! I have not put a lot of miles on it yet but it does very well in the suburban driving which is why I wanted the hybrid.

My dealer is Folsom CDJR

Huntington Beach Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram in Huntington Beach, California

Ordered December 19, 2016
Vehicle built March 30, 2017
Moved to Shipping status KZ April 27, 2017
Showed on Chrysler website (status KZM) May 13, 2017
Dealer called me that the vehicle was at their dealership May 15, 2017
Took delivery May 18, 2017

My dealer said that they do have a good relationship with the trucking company that hauls the vehicles from the Mira Loma rail yard to their dealership. They told me that they had asked them to expedite my vehicle once it showed up in Mira Loma. That very well may have happened. I'm not sure how I avoided the current "hold". Perhaps my vehicle did not get the "fix".

I've had it two weeks and put 1,100 miles on it so far. The only problem was once when I had used the remote start, and later got into the vehicle to drive it, the center screen did not turn on after I started the vehicle. This has only happened once, but I also have not had a need to use the remote start since then.

Huntington Beach is now advertising its Pacifica Hybrids that are in transit with a 1% discount off of MSRP, if you finance through them. If you don't finance through them, the cost is $750 more, which puts it a few hundred dollars above MSRP.

I hope that this is helpful.

Last year I had bought my new Pacifica, which was shipped with a car shipping California service, because if dealers may arrange transportation for my Pacifica, they will have the delivered my car to another dealership in my local area. So, I thought to arrange my own car shipping services by hiring the best car transport California company, where the transporters had transported my Pacifica at my home safely.
