I do have Nav, but I prefer Waze and I prefer it being played over the cars audio system.

Currently, I have only been able to get the Waze audio IF i have BOTH:

Uconnect set to "media" (this I understand)

Have music playing unpaused from my IOS.


If I pause the music either from the Nav or the ios device then I lose WAZE audio too. Does anyone know if its possible to not have the ios music playing (interfering with conversations) without losing Waze nav instructions?

Go into Waze settings -> Sound & Voice -> then at the bottom is "Sound Output" and check "Play as Bluetooth Phone Call"

I know this works using Waze while listening to satellite radio but haven't tried it with no music/talk radio at all.

I have Waze set to "Play on phone speaker" I usually will listen to SiriusXM while driving and have carplay running at the same time for Waze. The screen shows Waze and will voice over SiriusXM for directions. I did have to lower the "Guidance volume" in settings.
